The Wherwell Estate lies in the heart of the Test Valley in the picturesque rural community of Wherwell.
This is a classic Upper Test fishery with beats that meander through wonderful water meadows which produce prolific fly hatches throughout the season.
Each rod has their own beat for the day making a day here a truly exclusive experience.
The fishery comprises of eight beats which are all let either for single rods or a rod plus a guest. This makes for an exclusive feeling meaning that you ‘own’ your beat for the day.
The beats are split between the main river and some very intimate and challenging carriers making it one of the most diverse fisheries on the River Test.
All the banks are lovingly cared for by the river keeper and the weed is cut in such a way that it helps to enhance the natural fly life that is already abundant.
Brown trout and grayling can be seeing sipping the surface at almost any time of day at Wherwell. The beautiful secluded lake is stocked with Rainbow Trout and will accommodate up to 6 rods per day. There is the option to reserve the whole lake for a private group
The fishery holds a very good stock of wild brown trout which is testament to the quality of the river.
